Role Overview:
The Purchase Executive is responsible for ensuring that vessels are supplied with authorized stores, spares, and other products efficiently, within budget, and according to company policies. The role requires coordination with suppliers, fleet superintendents, and internal departments to maintain operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:

Requisition Management: Accurately input vessel and office requisitions into the company system; clarify additional information as required.

Supplier Coordination: Select suppliers from approved lists, issue enquiries and orders, and adhere to Group contracts where applicable, prioritizing fast-track items.

Fleet Liaison: Work closely with Fleet Superintendents on purchasing matters and advise on spares shipment details to vessels and vessel agents.

Order Management: Coordinate delivery of ship spares and stores; monitor delivery progress, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely receipt of goods.

Invoice Management: Receive, check, and process invoices in accordance with procedures, forwarding them to the Accounts Department for payment.

Team Support: Provide backup support for other Purchasing Officers when absent or as required.
Qualifications & Skills:

Proven experience in procurement, ideally within maritime, shipping, or logistics operations.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work under pressure.

Familiarity with supplier management and purchase order processes.

Attention to detail and adherence to company policies and quality standards.
