ELSEWEDY ELECTRIC UAE is seeking a Health Safety Environment (HSE) Engineer to oversee, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures on TAQA project sites. The role involves monitoring HSE performance, conducting audits and inspections, investigating incidents, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The HSE Engineer will work closely with management, employees, and contractors to promote a safe and compliant work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish, implement, and maintain company HSE policies and procedures.

• Monitor, coordinate, and report on all HSE activities, including monthly performance and audit reports.

• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and manage nonconformance issues.

• Assist management and employees in accident prevention activities and interface with contractors/clients as needed.

• Report accidents, incidents, or HSE-related issues promptly and document appropriately.

• Maintain HSE records, including incident registers, scaffolding registers, and lifting appliance registers.

• Update and communicate the Project HSE Plan regularly.

• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to assess compliance and project HSE performance.

• Investigate accidents and dangerous occurrences, recommending corrective measures.

• Ensure HSE team is briefed on daily planned activities and allocate resources for supervision.

• Record and analyze incidents, near misses, and first aid cases, sharing learning points and trends with project personnel.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science with HSE-related certification.

• 3–5 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably in TAQA projects with construction or power transmission exposure.

• TAQA approval as HSE Engineer is required.

• ISO 45001 Internal Auditor certification (preferred).

• Firefighting and First Aid certification (ADM approved, preferred).

• Strong knowledge of HSE policies, audits, inspections, and compliance requirements.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation.
