Forward Thinking is seeking a compassionate and organized College Counselor to guide students and families through the college planning and application process. The role involves personalized counseling, assisting with college research, application support, and mentoring students to achieve their higher education goals. This on-site position is based in Dubai and focuses on creating a positive and inclusive student experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Meet one-on-one with students and families to develop personalized college plans.

• Assist students in researching and identifying suitable colleges and universities.

• Guide students through the application process, including timelines, essays, and deadlines.

• Provide advice on course selection, extracurricular involvement, profile building, and standardized testing.

• Support students in preparing college essays, resumes, and interview skills.

• Maintain accurate records of student progress and counseling sessions.

• Stay informed on college admissions trends, financial aid, and scholarship opportunities.

• Host or support college readiness workshops and informational sessions for students and parents.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Counseling, Education, or related field preferred.

• Experience in college counseling, school counseling, admissions, or academic advising.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

• Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds.

• Knowledge of college application platforms (Common App, FAFSA, UCAS).

• Familiarity with local high school curriculums and college admission requirements.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with essay coaching or academic writing support.

• Experience in one-to-one student guidance.

• Ability to build relationships with colleges and universities.
