TRACTEBEL is seeking an experienced HSE Officer to ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance across Transmission & Distribution (TRANSCO) projects in the UAE. The role involves monitoring site activities, enforcing safety standards, promoting a strong safety culture, and supporting project leadership in delivering safe and compliant operations.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and regulations at project sites.

• Conduct site inspections, audits, and toolbox talks to enforce safe working practices.

• Ensure compliance with TRANSCO HSE standards and UAE regulatory requirements.

• Review contractors’ HSE plans, method statements, and risk assessments.

• Record, investigate, and report incidents, accidents, and near misses.

• Promote HSE awareness and conduct training sessions for staff and contractors.

• Support Resident Engineer and project teams in maintaining a safe working environment.

• Maintain accurate HSE statistics and prepare weekly/monthly safety reports.

Skills & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Engineering.

• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent HSE certification (mandatory).

• Minimum 10 years of HSE experience in Transmission & Distribution projects in the UAE.

• Strong knowledge of UAE safety regulations, TRANSCO HSE standards, and international safety practices.

• Experience conducting inspections, audits, and safety investigations.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and coordination skills.

• Proactive, detail-oriented, and safety-driven mindset.

• Ability to work effectively in multicultural teams under demanding project conditions.
