Plastica Industries is seeking a Flexographic Printer (Stack Machine Operator) to join their production team in Sharjah. The role involves setting up and operating flexo printing machines, ensuring print quality, maintaining equipment, and coordinating with production and prepress teams. This is an on-site, full-time position requiring attention to detail, technical skills, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and mount flexo printing plates and select correct sleeves or anilox rollers.

• Mix inks to achieve Pantone or color standards.

• Load and align substrates (film/paper/film laminate).

• Operate flexo printing machine, setting parameters (press speed, tension, register alignment, drying/curing).

• Monitor production for consistency in print registration and color matching.

• Adjust machine settings to correct for color drift, misalignment, or substrate shifts.

• Inspect prints for defects and perform quality checks (tape test, washing test, adhesion, durability).

• Perform daily maintenance and cleaning of rollers, doctor blades, gears, cylinders, and other components.

• Report mechanical issues, downtime, defect rates, and material usage.

• Follow safety protocols, use PPE, handle inks/solvents safely, and maintain workplace cleanliness.

• Coordinate with prepress, color matching, substrate/paper departments, and assist in production planning.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in flexographic printing (stack machine operation preferred).

• Technical knowledge of printing processes, inks, substrates, and color matching.

• Strong attention to detail and quality control skills.

• Ability to perform routine machine maintenance and minor troubleshooting.

• Good communication skills to coordinate with production teams.

• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to SOPs.
