Kerry, a global leader in taste and nutrition for the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries, is seeking an RD&A Senior Analytical Chemist to lead its state-of-the-art analytical laboratory in Dubai. This full-time, on-site role focuses on food flavor analysis, rheology, and ingredient functionality to support R&D and product development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage an advanced analytical laboratory tailored for food and flavor innovation.

• Select, validate, and operate analytical instruments and methodologies (GC, GC-MS, LC, SPME).

• Conduct analysis on flavor, food rheology, and ingredient functionality.

• Develop SOPs, quality systems, and safety protocols in compliance with regulations.

• Interpret complex analytical data to guide formulation, shelf-life, and sensory performance.

• Collaborate with R&D, sensory, and application teams to translate data into actionable insights.

• Provide technical leadership in troubleshooting formulation challenges.

• Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in food analysis.

• Train team members and foster a culture of scientific excellence and curiosity.

Qualifications:

• MSc or PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Food Science, or related field.

• Minimum 8 years of experience in food and flavor analysis; experience in a flavor house is preferred.

• Hands-on expertise with analytical instrumentation and method development.

• Proven ability to interpret data and influence product development.

• Strong stakeholder management and project prioritization skills.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
