Charterhouse is working with a rapidly growing technology company that specializes in developing next-generation server hardware designed for artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) workloads. As part of their regional expansion, they are hiring multiple AI Engineers to contribute to the design, optimization, and deployment of scalable AI systems.

In this role, you will design and implement solutions built on large language models (LLMs) and generative AI frameworks, helping to showcase the performance of proprietary hardware. You will optimize prompts, embeddings, and retrieval mechanisms, fine-tune models for domain-specific use cases, and develop custom pipelines for data ingestion, chunking, embedding generation, and retrieval.

The position also involves building workflows for experiment tracking, model reproducibility, and versioning, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to evaluate and benchmark AI hardware and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and optimize generative AI and LLM-based applications.

• Build and maintain data pipelines for ingestion, embedding, retrieval, and chunking.

• Fine-tune models to improve domain-specific performance and accuracy.

• Develop workflows for version control, experiment tracking, and reproducibility.

• Collaborate with internal and external teams to evaluate custom AI hardware.

• Profile and optimize AI workloads across CPUs, GPUs, and accelerators.

• Deploy, monitor, and maintain scalable RAG (retrieval-augmented generation) solutions.

Requirements:

• Strong programming skills in Python with experience using libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and SQL.

• Hands-on expertise with vector databases (e.g., Milvus, Chroma) and RAG-based systems.

• Familiarity with evaluation frameworks like Ragas or DeepEval.

• Experience with large-scale deployment tools (e.g., ClearML, Kubeflow) highly desirable.

• Solid understanding of software engineering practices: testing, debugging, documentation, and version control.

• Knowledge of accelerator architectures (CPU, GPU, NPU, TPU) is preferred but not mandatory.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
