We are hiring a Part-Time Housekeeping Technician to help maintain clean and welcoming spaces at the Zoo. This role involves cleaning, minor maintenance, and supporting staff and volunteers to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general cleaning and housekeeping inside assigned areas (restrooms, floors, windows, furniture, trash).

• Maintain outdoor areas by picking up litter, clearing pathways, and cleaning patios, sidewalks, and parking lots.

• Collect trash and recycling in line with Zoo conservation efforts.

• Guide and support part-time team members, volunteers, and junior curators.

• Order and manage supplies for assigned areas.

• Assist in preparation and clean-up for special events.

• Run light machinery such as floor scrubbers or waxing machines.

• Perform minor building maintenance duties.

• Participate in conservation and sustainability initiatives.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or G.E.D.

• Some experience in custodial housekeeping or equivalent education/experience.

• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in a zoo setting.

• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

• Successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
