Role Overview
IBIS Dubai is hiring a Storekeeper to manage hotel inventory and ensure smooth operations across departments. The role involves receiving, verifying, and organizing goods while maintaining accurate inventory records. The Storekeeper will play a key role in supporting kitchen, housekeeping, and other teams by ensuring timely stock replenishment and compliance with safety standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders for accuracy in quantity and quality.

  • Document any discrepancies or damages and ensure all items meet hotel standards.

  • Maintain accurate inventory records, perform regular stock checks, and update databases.

  • Organize and store items properly to prevent spoilage or damage.

  • Keep detailed records of receipts, returns, and inventory adjustments for audits.

  • Coordinate with hotel departments (kitchen, housekeeping, etc.) for timely stock replenishment.

  • Communicate with suppliers about deliveries, returns, and inventory issues.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in storeroom areas.

  • Apply FIFO (First-In, First-Out) methods to minimize waste and maintain freshness.

  • Prepare inventory reports on usage, discrepancies, and stock levels for management.

  • Support in emergency procedures (e.g., hazardous material handling, supply chain issues).

  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance on quality, reliability, and pricing.


Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a storekeeper, warehouse clerk, or inventory assistant, ideally in hospitality.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Good communication and coordination abilities.

  • Ability to lift and move heavy stock.

  • Knowledge of food safety and storage guidelines (HACCP certification is a plus).
