I&C Commissioning Engineer – Waste to Energy (12-Month Contract)

SEGULA Technologies, a global engineering leader with 15,000 employees across 140 locations worldwide, is seeking an experienced I&C Commissioning Engineer to support the commissioning phase of a Waste to Energy (WtE) facility in Sharjah, UAE. This 12-month contract role involves ensuring the proper functionality, testing, and system handover of control systems, instruments, and PLCs. The position is ideal for professionals with extensive power plant or WtE commissioning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commission, test, and troubleshoot control systems, PLCs, and instrumentation.

  • Verify operational readiness of systems and provide support during startup.

  • Review and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, and commissioning sequences.

  • Collaborate with contractors and O&M teams to ensure smooth project execution.

  • Prepare, review, and finalize commissioning documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering.

  • Experience: Minimum 15 years of commissioning experience in power plants or Waste to Energy projects.

  • Strong expertise in P&IDs, loop diagrams, and commissioning procedures.

  • Proven ability to work independently and in cross-functional project teams.
