The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) is seeking an Operations Unit Head to oversee the implementation of programs and processes that support the Abu Dhabi Public Art initiative. This leadership role focuses on managing operational and technical requirements, ensuring project success in collaboration with internal teams, external contractors, and stakeholders. The position requires expertise in project management, budgeting, cultural programming, and public art operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Review, approve, and oversee operational proposals to ensure efficiency and quality delivery.

Monitor installation works, ensuring safety, effectiveness, and adherence to project standards.

Manage operations and activities for all public art projects in line with DCT’s requirements.

Ensure programs are delivered within defined budgets, scopes, timelines, and standards.

Oversee budgeting, financial forecasting, risk management, negotiations, and contracts.

Support project handovers and openings, preparing reports and presentations for leadership.

Develop and enforce operational policies, procedures, and systems aligned with organizational excellence.

Contribute to project scheduling and monitor performance against plans.

Lead people management initiatives including talent development, performance management, and adherence to organizational values.

Drive continuous improvement, sustainability, and alignment with international best practices.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Culture, Arts Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Architecture, or related fields.

PMP Certification is preferred.

6–8 years of experience in project management, preferably in cultural institutions or public art projects.

Strong knowledge of UAE history, culture, and global art trends.

Proven experience in budgeting, contracts management, and operational planning.

Excellent problem-solving, risk management, and decision-making skills.

Full professional proficiency in English; Arabic bilingual is desirable.

Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and project management tools.

Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships.
