This role is ideal for individuals passionate about cooking and eager to grow their culinary career. The Commi Chef will assist in food preparation, cooking, and presentation while ensuring the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and kitchen organization.

Key Responsibilities / Role Overview:

• Assist senior chefs in food preparation, cooking, and plating.

• Follow recipes and cooking techniques to maintain consistency and quality.

• Ensure kitchen hygiene, organization, and compliance with HACCP standards.

• Properly store, label, and rotate food items (FIFO).

• Operate kitchen equipment safely, ensuring cleaning and maintenance.

• Support during busy service times to ensure smooth operations.

• Assist with stock rotation and inventory management to reduce waste.

• Learn and develop culinary skills through hands-on training.

• Communicate effectively with the kitchen team and provide excellent service.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Basic knowledge of cooking methods, recipes, and portioning.

• Familiarity with food safety, hygiene standards, and HACCP protocols.

• Experience in handling kitchen equipment and ingredients safely.

• Understanding of FIFO (First In, First Out) in stock management.

• Ability to identify freshness and quality of ingredients.

• Strong multitasking, time management, and attention to detail.

• Team player with the ability to follow supervision.

• Customer interaction and basic selling skills are a plus.
