The Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research (TheECSSR) is hiring a Head of Information Security Section to lead and supervise all aspects of information and network security. This senior role involves ensuring systems and applications are safeguarded, applying global best practices, mitigating risks, and driving a culture of information security across the organization.

Key Responsibilities / Role Overview:

• Develop, update, and enforce information security standards and policies.

• Monitor and respond to vulnerabilities, breaches, and incidents across the Center’s systems.

• Approve and oversee technical solutions for network security infrastructure.

• Manage and audit firewalls, security control devices, and monitoring tools.

• Submit reports on risks, vulnerabilities, and security status to leadership.

• Train and raise awareness among employees on cybersecurity best practices.

• Continuously evaluate and implement advanced IT and security technologies.

• Lead emergency response efforts to minimize risks and ensure continuity.

• Foster knowledge sharing, innovation, and adoption of best practices in cybersecurity.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education:

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, Network Security, or related field with 9 years of experience.

  • Master’s with 7 years of experience.

  • Ph.D. with 5 years of experience.

Professional/Specialized Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of IT security policies, systems, and regulations.

• Proficiency in Arabic and English.

• Skilled in data analysis, statistics, and reporting.

• Expertise in computer systems, networks, and applications.

• Ability to work under pressure, problem-solve, and manage multiple priorities.

• Familiarity with information and communication technology (ICT) and the latest security trends.
