Golden Cart, a premium supermarket in Houshi, Sharjah, is seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Supermarket Cashier for on-site, full-time work with rotational shifts. The role focuses on fast, accurate checkout experiences and delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:

Greet customers and process purchases quickly and accurately (cash, cards, contactless).

Operate POS systems, barcode scanners, and receipt/label printers.

Handle returns, exchanges, and price checks according to store policy.

Maintain cash float and perform end-of-shift cash reconciliation.

Apply correct discounts, promotions, and loyalty redemptions.

Keep checkout counters clean, tidy, and stocked.

Resolve basic customer queries or escalate to the Duty Manager.

Support queue management and bagging during peak times.

Follow loss-prevention and data privacy procedures.

Comply with health and safety standards.
Requirements:

2+ years of cashier or retail experience preferred.

Currently residing in the UAE and ready to start immediately.

Comfortable with POS systems and basic math; high attention to detail.

Clear and courteous communication in Arabic and English.

Customer-first mindset; calm under pressure; reliable and punctual.

Flexibility to work rotational shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Nice to Have:

Experience in supermarkets or FMCG retail.

Familiarity with VAT on receipts and basic cash-handling controls.
Compensation:

Salary: AED 2,500–3,000/month
