Resolve To Save Lives (RTSL) is a global health organization working with governments and partners in over 60 countries to address deadly yet preventable health threats. The Patient-Led Advocacy Consultant will be responsible for developing a patient-led advocacy (PLA) strategy and co-creating advocacy programs with partners to support hypertension control initiatives in up to two target countries. This full-time, on-site role is a short-term consultancy with a maximum duration of 90 days (to be completed by March 31, 2026).
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct desk reviews of patient-led advocacy approaches for hypertension control in LMICs.

Analyze stakeholders, advocacy groups, and their effectiveness in cardiovascular disease prevention.

Identify and recommend partner organizations for collaboration.

Facilitate co-creation meetings with country partners and RTSL teams.

Develop advocacy strategies, policy briefs, toolkits, and country-specific PLA programs.

Support in-country patient-led advocacy projects for hypertension prevention and control.
Deliverables:
-
Report on the state of patient-led advocacy for hypertension.

2–3 page policy brief with impactful advocacy approaches.
-
RTSL-specific PLA strategy with KPIs.
-
Toolkit for partner engagement in advocacy.

Launch of advocacy projects in 1–2 countries.
Requirements:
-
Master’s degree in Public Health, Public Policy, Communications, or related field.

Minimum 10 years’ experience in global public health, preferably in LMICs.

Strong background in civil society capacity building and health advocacy.

Proven record in coalition building, stakeholder mapping, and campaign development.

Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Strong research, analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.

Demonstrated ability to adapt strategies to diverse cultural and policy environments.
