About the Role:
Valtrans Transportation Systems and Services is seeking an experienced RTA Liaison Engineer to serve as the primary link between the company and Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) as well as other government bodies. The role requires excellent regulatory knowledge, documentation skills, and the ability to navigate approval processes efficiently while ensuring full compliance with local laws and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the main point of contact with RTA and other regulatory authorities.

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with governmental bodies and stakeholders.

• Represent the company at official meetings to address concerns and secure approvals.

• Coordinate submission of documentation for permits, approvals, and licenses.

• Track and follow up on the status of regulatory applications.

• Ensure all designs, reports, and project documentation meet regulatory standards.

• Identify potential risks or delays in the approval process and develop mitigation strategies.

• Provide project teams with regulatory advice to ensure compliance at all project stages.

• Keep internal teams informed about regulatory deadlines and requirements.

• Prepare and submit periodic reports to both internal teams and authorities.

• Maintain comprehensive records of communication, permits, and approvals.

• Stay updated on changes in local regulations, codes, and compliance requirements.

• Advise management on potential compliance issues and provide solutions.

• Deliver compliance training to internal teams when necessary.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical), Architecture, or related field.

• 3–5 years of experience in authority liaison or regulatory compliance roles on large-scale projects.

• Strong knowledge of UAE building codes, permits, and standards.

• Familiarity with construction, engineering, and architectural processes.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for interacting with authorities and internal teams.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficiency with project management tools is an advantage.
