UN Women is seeking a Driver (NPSA2) to provide reliable, safe, and protocol-compliant driving services for the Liaison Office in Abu Dhabi. The driver will support the Head of Office, staff, consultants, and official visitors, ensuring the highest levels of professionalism, safety, and discretion. Alongside driving responsibilities, the role involves basic vehicle maintenance, administrative tasks, and logistical support for the office.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide safe and secure driving services for authorized personnel and visitors.

Handle mail, documents, and items delivery to government offices, embassies, UN offices, and partners.

Meet and assist visitors at the airport, including customs and visa arrangements when required.

Maintain vehicle logs, monitor fuel and service records, and ensure vehicles are kept clean and operational.

Conduct minor repairs and coordinate major servicing when needed.

Ensure all required documents (insurance, licenses, first aid kit, maps, spare parts) are available in the vehicle.

Follow UN Women’s vehicle management, safety, and security protocols.

Provide general administrative/logistical support, including filing, photocopying, and bill payments when necessary.

Act promptly in case of accidents, following official reporting rules.
Qualifications & Skills:

Completion of secondary education (required).

Valid UAE driver’s license (mandatory).

Minimum 2 years of driving experience with a clean driving record.

Prior experience with the UN, embassies, or international organizations (preferred).

Excellent knowledge of UAE roads, traffic rules, and defensive driving techniques.

Ability to perform minor vehicle repairs.

Strong punctuality, reliability, and interpersonal skills.

Fluency in English (required); working knowledge of Arabic is preferred. Knowledge of another UN language is an asset.
