Fortes Education, a leading provider of premium international education in the UAE, is seeking a Learning Support Assistant (ELL) for their Primary phase at Sunmarke School, Dubai. This role supports teachers in facilitating the academic and social development of students with English language learning needs.

Responsibilities:

• Provide in-class support to students with language barriers using adapted materials.

• Collaborate with teachers to plan and enhance student learning.

• Prepare classrooms, materials, equipment, and supplies under teacher guidance.

• Monitor, maintain, and review student progress records.

• Assist ELL teachers with administrative tasks and assessment facilitation.

• Support field trips, group activities, sports events, and other school events.

• Guide students in lessons to access learning at their own pace.

• Document student challenges and successes to inform progress strategies.

• Cover ELL teaching under supervision when required.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in an international school.

• Degree in Education (B.Ed.) or English (B.A.) or equivalent.

• Fluent in English, with strong written and oral communication skills.

• Available to work 7:00 am – 4:30 pm.

• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

• Knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.

• Commitment to student and staff privacy, safeguarding children, and compliance with vetting procedures.
