Hyde Johannesburg Rosebank, part of the stylish and fashion-inspired SO/ Hotels collection under Ennismore, is hiring an Assistant Waiter to join its vibrant Dubai team. The role is ideal for individuals who are friendly, customer-focused, and passionate about hospitality. As an Assistant Waiter, you will support dining operations, ensure smooth service, and deliver exceptional guest experiences in a luxury setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the lead waiter in serving food and beverages.

• Greet, seat, and attend to guests while providing menus and answering questions.

• Set and clear tables, ensuring correct placement of dishes, glassware, and cutlery.

• Take and relay drink orders to the bar and refill water glasses.

• Work with kitchen staff to ensure accurate and timely service.

• Handle cash transactions and process payments when required.

• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization in the dining area.

• Follow food safety and hygiene standards.

• Attend pre-shift briefings and training sessions.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Strong communication skills in English (Arabic or additional languages are a plus).

• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and welcoming personality.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

• Physical stamina to stand for long hours and carry trays.

• Basic math skills for billing and handling payments.

• Attention to detail in table setting and food presentation.

• Previous hospitality or F&B experience preferred.

• Food handling certification is an advantage.

• Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
