Biosearch Life, a Kerry Company, a global leader in taste and nutrition for the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries, is seeking a Senior Analytical Chemist to join its R&D team in Dubai. This on-site, full-time role focuses on food flavour analysis, rheology, and ingredient functionality, providing technical leadership in building and managing an advanced analytical laboratory while translating complex data into actionable insights for product development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a state-of-the-art analytical laboratory for food and flavour innovation.

• Select and validate analytical instruments and methodologies aligned with innovation goals.

• Perform analyses for Flavour (GC, GC-MS, LC, SPME, etc.), Food rheology, and Ingredient functionality.

• Develop SOPs, quality systems, and safety protocols ensuring regulatory compliance.

• Interpret complex data to support formulation, shelf-life, and sensory performance.

• Collaborate with R&D, sensory, and application teams to convert analytical results into actionable insights.

• Provide technical leadership in troubleshooting formulation challenges.

• Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in food analysis.

• Train team members and foster a culture of scientific excellence and curiosity.

Qualifications & Skills:

• MSc or PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Food Science, or related field.

• Minimum 8 years of experience in food and flavour analysis; experience in a flavour house is desirable.

• Strong hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation and method development.

• Proven ability to interpret data and influence product development.

• Excellent stakeholder management and project prioritization skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
