Sulzer, a leading engineering company, is seeking a full-time Procurement Specialist to join the Services_INMEC team in Dubai. The role involves sourcing and purchasing goods and services, managing supplier relationships, conducting market research, negotiating contracts, and ensuring supply chain efficiency for the Iraq operation.
Key Responsibilities:

Execute strategic sourcing activities for direct and indirect materials according to Sulzer’s sourcing policy.

Maintain a comprehensive supplier database and assess supplier performance.

Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and product availability.

Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers for favorable pricing and service levels.

Continuously assess and develop the supplier base to mitigate risks and improve efficiency.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify procurement needs and provide guidance on best practices.

Place purchase orders according to company policies and procedures.

Monitor procurement KPIs, including order fulfillment, delivery schedules, and supplier performance.

Optimize inventory levels to minimize carrying costs while ensuring uninterrupted supply.

Prepare reports and presentations on procurement activities, savings, and performance indicators.
Candidate Profile / Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of relevant procurement experience, preferably in the Middle East within heavy machinery (rotating equipment) industry.

Strong knowledge of procurement strategies, sourcing techniques, and supplier management.

Proficient in procurement software and tools.

Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
