Maptech Geospatial Data Services FZ-LLC is seeking a GIS Technician for a contract-based remote role to convert engineering as-built drawings into GIS datasets following DMT standards. The position requires precision, technical expertise in GIS and CAD tools, and the ability to work independently while meeting project deadlines. The role involves data conversion, maintaining detailed documentation, and supporting quality assurance under managerial guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Convert engineering as-built drawings into GIS datasets per DMT standards.

• Maintain accurate project documentation.

• Support quality assurance processes for GIS data.

• Collaborate remotely with the project manager for technical guidance.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 1–3 years’ experience in GIS data conversion or CAD interpretation.

• Diploma or Bachelor’s in GIS, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field.

• Proficiency in ArcGIS, QGIS, AutoCAD, or MicroStation.

• Familiarity with DMT GIS templates and standards.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

• Strong spatial reasoning and logical thinking.
