The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi is seeking a dedicated Copy Editor to support the editing and publishing of high-quality Arabic cultural and heritage content. This role focuses on reviewing manuscripts, ensuring linguistic and factual accuracy, and coordinating with authors, designers, and publishers to produce engaging and culturally significant books and publications. The position also involves participation in publishing initiatives, events, and book fairs to promote the UAE’s publishing movement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement publishing plans and strategies to expand the UAE and Arab world’s literary landscape.

• Edit and proofread manuscripts for factual accuracy, clarity, and adherence to style and publishing standards.

• Coordinate with authors, editors, and designers on content modifications and design alignment.

• Ensure timely production of publications within allocated budgets.

• Support the organization of publishing events, seminars, and book fairs.

• Maintain reports, records, and documentation of publishing projects.

• Communicate with partners, publishers, and stakeholders about publishing initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Arts, Media, Culture, Translation, Publishing, or equivalent.

• 1–2 years of experience in publishing, editing, translation, or related fields (fresh graduates may be considered).

• Proficiency in editing and proofreading, with strong attention to detail.

• Excellent planning, organizational, and research skills.

• Effective communication, relationship building, and problem-solving abilities.

• Fluency in Arabic.
