RSK Group, a global leader in sustainable environmental and engineering consultancy, is seeking a Senior/Principal Environmental Consultant to join their offices in Dubai or Abu Dhabi. This is a contract, on-site role focused on delivering high-level consultancy services related to environmental, social, and health impact assessments (ESHIA), strategic environmental assessments (SEA), and environmental monitoring for major energy, industrial, and infrastructure projects in the UAE, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and the wider region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and author large-scale ESHIA and SEA projects, and oversee environmental monitoring and baseline surveys.

• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior staff.

• Maintain strong client and regulatory relationships.

• Manage project financial performance, tender preparation, and pursue new business opportunities.

• Coordinate with stakeholders and manage sub-consultants effectively.

• Willingness to travel within the region, including Iraq and Saudi Arabia, for short-term assignments.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental or engineering discipline (chemical/environmental engineering preferred).

• Master’s degree in environmental management or related field is a plus.

• Membership or working towards chartered status in a relevant professional body (e.g., IEMA).

• Over 8 years of experience in environmental consulting, including permitting, monitoring, management planning, audits, and site assessments.

• Experience in international consultancy and Middle East projects.

• Deep understanding of ESHIA processes, international legislation, and project financing mechanisms.

• Specialist knowledge (e.g., marine environment, waste management) is advantageous.

• Experience conducting environmental impact identification workshops and negotiating with regulators.

• Excellent communication, report writing, project management, and financial management skills.

• Full driving license.
