Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, label, and process patient specimens (blood, urine, swabs) according to safety and biohazard protocols.

• Perform routine and specialized tests in hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, and immunology.

• Calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instruments for optimal performance.

• Execute quality control procedures, maintain ISO 15189 standards, and document QC results.

• Record accurate test results in the Laboratory Information System (LIS) while ensuring data confidentiality.

• Collaborate with pathologists and senior technologists to escalate critical findings and support process improvements.

Skills & Qualifications:

Must-Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.

• Proficiency in hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, and immunology.

• Knowledge of ISO 15189 quality management systems and biosafety protocols.

• Experience with LIS systems and precise data entry skills.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred:

• Professional certification (e.g., ASCP, IBMS) or equivalent.

• Experience with PCR or immunoassay platforms.

• Familiarity with ISO accreditation and laboratory audits.

• Understanding of Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement methods.

• Bilingual in English and Arabic.
