Aldar Education is hiring a Career Guidance Specialist for Mubarak Bin Mohammed Cycle 2&3 Charter School, an American curriculum mixed-gender primary school in Abu Dhabi. The role involves supporting students’ academic, personal, and career development by providing tailored guidance on university choices, career pathways, and life skills. The specialist will assist students through university applications, career planning, and postsecondary transitions while engaging parents and maintaining close relationships with local institutions. This full-time, on-site role requires strong interpersonal skills, organizational abilities, and confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

• Support students’ academic, personal, and career growth, offering guidance on university options and career pathways

• Track and assess student progress, providing tailored support for academic and career goals

• Assist students with university applications, career planning, and transition to postsecondary life

• Implement school guidance policies and programs in alignment with career aspirations

• Engage parents to encourage student agency in decision-making

• Provide administrative support for applications, including recommendation letters and personal statement reviews

• Develop and maintain community and network connections with local postsecondary institutions

• Support gifted, talented, and students with additional learning needs with specialized guidance and opportunities

• Organize career and university guidance events and maintain relevant calendars

• Foster relationships with alumni and track their postsecondary pathways

• Participate in ongoing continuous professional development (CPD)

Qualifications:

• Minimum QFE 7 (Bachelor’s Degree) in any subject, meeting CPD requirements, or former/current teacher/educator status

• At least 2 years of experience in school counseling or related counseling roles

• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

• High emotional energy and ability to handle diverse student needs

• Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism
