We are seeking a Writer – Freelance to join our Middle East team in a hybrid role. The successful candidate will work with independent editors and our in-house team to produce high-quality legal transcripts for hearings, trials, arbitrations, and inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Use CAT software (Total Eclipse or Case Catalyst) to produce accurate verbatim transcripts.

• Collaborate with editors to ensure transcripts are correctly formatted, names/terms spelled accurately, and punctuation is precise.

• Transcribe in real-time or from audio, rectifying errors where necessary.

• Assist in preparing final transcripts, including generating ASCII files.

• Amend transcripts and prepare errata sheets as per client requirements.

• Maintain updated glossaries for all court reporting assignments.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a court reporter.

• Strong English vocabulary and grammar skills.

• Minimum typing speed of 200 WPM.

• High attention to detail and accuracy.

• Professional communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with judges, lawyers, and colleagues.

• Ability to perform under pressure.

• Positive attitude, proactive mindset, and willingness to learn.

• Flexible and collaborative team player.

Other Information:

• Overtime may be required to meet deadlines.

• Occasional travel within the Middle East and nearby regions may be necessary.
