Ktheer Fruits & Vegetables LLC, a growing leader in sustainable agriculture in the UAE, is seeking a hands-on Agricultural Engineer to join their dynamic team based in Al Ain. This is a field-focused role, ideal for an experienced individual who thrives in managing daily operations on the ground, especially in hydroponic, greenhouse, and soil-based farming environments.

The role is tailored for someone with real-world farm experience, preferably in hot and arid climates like the UAE. The successful candidate will work directly with farm laborers, oversee vegetable production, support new projects in vertical farming, and ensure optimal crop performance through innovative agricultural practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day farming operations across open fields, greenhouses, and hydroponic systems.

• Supervise and actively participate in planting, irrigation, care, and harvesting of crops.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to soil health, irrigation, pest management, and climate control.

• Lead fertigation planning and oversee pest and disease control protocols.

• Drive the implementation of indoor vertical farming projects for leafy greens and microgreens.

• Provide on-site training and mentorship to farm workers to improve performance and practices.

• Support expansion initiatives, including new crop types (e.g., fodder) and farm locations.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering or a related field.

• 3–5 years of practical farming experience, including hydroponics and soil-based cultivation.

• Previous work experience in UAE or Gulf region strongly preferred.

• Must be willing to live on-site and work under challenging climate conditions.

• Strong communication skills in English, Urdu, Bengali, or Tamil (for team coordination).

• Excellent problem-solving, team leadership, and decision-making capabilities.

• A “boots-on-the-ground” mentality – this role requires working directly with the team in the field.
