Job Summary:
AWS is looking for a Security Specialist Intern to join its Data Centre team for Summer 2025. This full-time, 12-week internship based in Abu Dhabi offers students hands-on experience in operational physical security in a high-tech environment. Interns will engage in reporting, vendor management, and technical enhancements for security systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interface with and direct vendors on security construction and daily operations.

• Extract data and observe improvements based on hard metrics.

• Suggest improvements in electronic surveillance and access control systems.

• Lead efforts to reduce false alarms and enhance data center occupant education.

A Day in the Life at AWS:

Basic Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of access control and video surveillance systems (e.g., LENEL, C-cure).

• Interest in incident investigation and physical security risk identification.

• Strong reporting and documentation skills.

• Keen observation skills related to physical security protocols and systems.

Additional Information:

• Internship is full-time (40 hours/week) for 12 consecutive weeks in Summer 2025.

• Interns must be available to work on-site in Abu Dhabi.
