Minor Hotels is seeking a Telephone Operator to join their team at La Suite Dubai Hotel & Apartments, located near Dubai Media City on Sheikh Zayed Road. This full-time, on-site position is ideal for individuals who are courteous, articulate, and skilled at handling multiple tasks in a luxury hospitality environment. You will serve as the communication bridge between guests and departments, ensuring seamless and professional telephone services.

The role demands a clear speaking voice, strong listening skills, knowledge of PBX/switchboard operations, and a passion for exceptional customer service. It is a great opportunity for someone with prior front desk or room operations experience to grow within a luxury hotel group.

Key Responsibilities:

• Answer and direct incoming calls to guest rooms, staff, and departments using the hotel PBX system

• Provide accurate information about hotel services and public events

• Receive and distribute guest messages efficiently and discreetly

• Handle wake-up call requests and maintain a log of all scheduled calls

• Perform paging services for guests and employees

• Open and close telephone lines in hotel front office software and update directory data

• Maintain records of all calls made and received, including call charges

• Follow correct protocol during emergency calls and report technical issues promptly

• Assist in training new telephone operators and uphold telephone etiquette at all times

• Ensure full awareness of hotel health and safety, fire, and bomb threat procedures

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Rooms Division or similar role in a luxury hotel

• Strong understanding of PBX or telephone switchboard systems

• Excellent communication and multitasking skills

• Calm, polite, and professional demeanor with attention to detail

• Previous experience in high-end lifestyle or resort hotels is a strong advantage
