GEMS Winchester School is looking for a passionate and organized School Librarian to lead and manage our library for the academic year 2025/2026. The ideal candidate will inspire a love of reading, support literacy development, and provide valuable resources to students and faculty, fostering an engaging and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily library operations including cataloging and maintenance of resources.

• Assist students in selecting age-appropriate books and digital materials.

• Plan and organize reading programs, book fairs, and literacy events.

• Work closely with teachers to integrate library resources with curriculum goals.

• Maintain a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere for learners.

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Library Science or related field.

• Prior experience in a school library is preferred.

• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

• Commitment to child safeguarding policies; ability to provide UK-enhanced DBS or equivalent police clearance.
