The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is seeking a diligent and proactive Inspector – Vehicles Monitoring & Passengers Transport to join the Passengers Transport Activities Monitoring Department. Based in Dubai, this full-time role involves field inspections, reporting violations, and ensuring compliance with public transportation regulations. The ideal candidate will work on-ground to monitor transportation activities, respond to public complaints, and inspect vehicles and permits to ensure safety and legal compliance across the Emirate of Dubai.

This is a key role within the Inspection category, dedicated to upholding RTA standards and combating passenger smuggling practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to public complaints and conduct field inspections to report violations.

• Inspect vehicles entering and exiting to ensure cleanliness and compliance.

• Submit inspection reports and irregularities to the franchising and enforcement department after each shift.

• Follow a daily work schedule as assigned by the direct supervisor.

• Monitor and fine individuals involved in unauthorized passenger transport (smuggling).

• Verify driver permits during inspections to confirm legal authorization.

• Draft reports outlining any obstacles or issues faced during inspections.

• Inspect contractual agreements between luxury vehicle providers, hotels, and transport companies.

• Perform regular foot patrols in areas where smuggling activity is prevalent.

• Monitor passengers and ensure compliance with transport laws across Dubai.

• Use electronic systems to issue fines to violators.

• Confirm that side numbers on vehicles match plate numbers.

Qualifications:

Education:

• High School Certificate (Secondary School)

Skills & Experience:

• 0–2 years of experience in a similar inspection or enforcement role.

• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking); Arabic is an advantage.

• Strong communication and reporting skills.

• Basic computer literacy.

• Team player with the ability to build trust and maintain relationships.
