Role Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Assistant Category Manager – E-commerce to support our online retail strategy. This role is critical in ensuring category growth and profitability by managing promotions, product assortment, and optimizing on-site experience through effective execution and data insights.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Profitability Management

Set commercial targets, monitor performance, and quickly identify deviations

Analyze the effectiveness of promotional campaigns and pricing strategies

Recommend strategic actions based on category and profit margin analysis
Website & Digital Merchandising
-
Maintain visual merchandising and product presentation across the website

Regularly update website taxonomy, navigation, and UI to optimize customer journey

Coordinate with tech and design teams for seasonal refreshes and layout enhancements
Reporting, Analysis & Strategic Planning

Track and report on key performance metrics using Excel and BI tools

Conduct sales trend analysis and demand forecasting

Prepare category performance reviews (WBR/MBR/QBR) for management alignment
Omni-Channel & Campaign Coordination

Ensure seamless coordination between offline and online fulfillment operations

Align marketing campaigns with category promotions for maximum visibility and ROI

Support cross-functional collaboration on campaign planning and execution
Collaboration & Influence

Actively contribute to category initiatives by coordinating with marketing, sales, logistics, and tech teams

Drive process improvements and workflow efficiency across e-commerce operations

Provide insights to senior leadership based on analytics and market trends
Required Skills & Qualifications

7+ years of experience, including 3+ years in category management or e-commerce
-
Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)

Experience in marketplace operations and e-commerce platforms

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Proficiency in project management and process optimization
-
Arabic language proficiency is a plus
