Model Engineering Consultants is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. The role involves designing HVAC systems, preparing detailed engineering drawings, and ensuring compliance with Dubai municipality and international standards for various building types including residential, commercial, and hotels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare design documentation, drafts, and submissions including heat load calculations using HAP software in line with ASHRAE and Dubai Municipality standards.

• Design cooling and heating loads, select AHUs, split systems, exhaust fans, grilles, duct layouts, and pipe routing.

• Develop conceptual, preliminary, detailed, and constructional mechanical HVAC designs for diverse building types.

• Apply guidelines from SMACNA, ASHRAE, and ISHRAE in design processes.

• Estimate cooling load summaries and select economical HVAC systems based on building surveys.

• Prepare technical specifications, time, and cost estimates for supply, installation, and commissioning.

• Review conceptual and tender drawings for compliance with client requirements.

• Schedule equipment selection such as chillers, pumps, fans, AHUs, FCUs, and split units based on load estimates.

• Calculate static pressures and total head requirements for fans and chilled water pumps.

• Attend meetings with subcontractors, consultants, and clients to clarify design intent and discuss deliverables.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.

• Strong proficiency in Revit software.
