Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly driven and experienced Purchasing Officer with proven expertise in garments, uniforms, and textiles procurement. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of supplier sourcing in key textile regions like India, Bangladesh, and China, and be proficient in international purchasing, logistics, and vendor management.

This is a critical role that includes frequent international travel, cost optimization, and working across cross-functional teams to ensure timely and quality procurement for our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

🛒 Sourcing & Procurement

• Source and establish strong relationships with garment and textile suppliers in India, Bangladesh, and China

• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement

• Ensure materials meet required quality and compliance standards

🤝 Supplier Relationship Management

• Maintain and strengthen ties with existing supplier networks

• Conduct supplier audits and monitor performance for consistency and compliance

• Resolve supplier-related issues promptly to avoid disruptions

📦 Inventory & Logistics

• Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure smooth order flow and delivery

• Maintain optimal stock levels and forecast procurement requirements

• Oversee international shipments and ensure compliance with customs and import/export regulations

💰 Cost Management

• Develop and manage purchasing budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities

• Provide reports on purchasing performance and vendor analytics

🌍 Market Research

• Monitor textile trends, pricing changes, and supplier innovations across sourcing regions

• Recommend strategies for competitive sourcing and sustainability improvements

📋 Compliance & Quality Control

• Ensure all procurements meet international standards and company quality benchmarks

• Stay updated on evolving regulatory requirements in key sourcing countries

✈️ Travel

• Regular international travel to India, Bangladesh, and China for trade shows, inspections, and supplier visits

• Local travel in the UAE using personal vehicle for meetings and coordination

Candidate Requirements:

🎓 Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or Textile Engineering preferred

📈 Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in garment and textile procurement

• Hands-on experience with vendors in India, Bangladesh, and China

🛠️ Skills:

• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills

• Knowledge of textile manufacturing and uniform production standards

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement tools

• Strong written and spoken English communication skills

🚘 Other Requirements:

• Valid UAE driving license

• Willingness to travel locally and internationally as required

• Knowledge of customs clearance and international logistics

• Experience in eco-friendly or sustainable sourcing is a plus
