Position: Strategy & Structuring Analyst – LNG & Hard Commodities

Overview:
On behalf of a leading UAE-based client in the hard commodities and energy sector, Human Craft is hiring a commercially astute and analytically driven Strategy & Structuring Analyst to join the LNG Business Development team. The ideal candidate will possess strong market analysis skills, financial modeling expertise, and a solid grasp of LNG pricing mechanisms and transaction structuring.
This role supports the evaluation and execution of global LNG opportunities, with a geographic focus on Africa, India, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Vietnam. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver strategic insights, economic assessments, and competitive intelligence to support deal-making efforts and market expansion.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct market research on LNG demand, infrastructure, pricing, and competition in target regions.

Build and manage economic and financial models for LNG projects, including pricing structures and commercial feasibility.

Analyze SPA/HOA/MOU deal structures, terms, credit exposure, and price review mechanisms.

Support preparation of internal and external presentations, investment proposals, and strategic reports.

Monitor market dynamics such as regulatory changes, geopolitical risks, FX, and LNG trading trends (spot vs. long-term).

Advise business development teams on optimal market entry and go-to-market strategies.

Collaborate with legal, trading, and finance teams to assess implications of transaction structures.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Energy Management, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in LNG, natural gas, energy strategy, or project finance.

Strong Excel-based modeling skills with proficiency in DCF, NPV, IRR, and economic evaluation techniques.

Solid understanding of LNG pricing benchmarks (Brent, JCC, Henry Hub, TTF), trading terms (FOB, DES), and value chain economics.

Previous involvement in energy business development or M&A projects.
Preferred Attributes:

International market experience in Africa, India, ASEAN, or GCC regions.

Familiarity with LNG infrastructure, shipping, regasification, and terminal logistics.

Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.

Proficiency in PowerPoint and tools such as Kpler, Refinitiv, ICIS.
