Job Title: Operations Manager
Job Description:
Black & Grey HR is hiring for an Operations Manager – Wood Shredding on behalf of a reputed and diversified group of companies based in Dubai, UAE. This is a strategic, hands-on leadership role at the core of a recycled wood processing plant with a shredding capacity of 300 tons/day. The ideal candidate will possess deep operational knowledge of high-capacity industrial shredders and be capable of managing end-to-end plant operations with a focus on efficiency, safety, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the wood shredding unit, ensuring uninterrupted production and optimal throughput.

Supervise and coordinate a cross-functional team including machine operators, supervisors, shovel operators, and safety officers.

Operate and maintain top-tier industrial shredding equipment (MOBARK, HUSS, Hammel) to ensure maximum uptime and reliability.

Manage the intake process of used, fresh, and waste wood, maintaining consistency and quality for the production of shredded wood fuel.

Ensure the steady output of shredded wood material for downstream industrial uses, particularly in paper manufacturing.

Continuously improve operational flow, output quality, and machine efficiency through data-driven decisions.

Track KPIs, productivity metrics, and cost efficiency; report insights to senior management.

Collaborate closely with the maintenance team for both preventive and corrective machine care.

Maintain strict adherence to EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) protocols and sustainability standards across all operational levels.
Requirements:

Mandatory hands-on experience with high-capacity wood shredders such as MOBARK, HUSS, or Hammel.

Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial wood shredding or similar recycling operations.

Proven leadership capabilities with the ability to manage production teams under demanding environments.

Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and industrial safety standards.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (preferred).
