Aldar Education is hiring a Higher Learning Teaching Assistant for Yasmina British Academy, an ‘Outstanding’-rated British Curriculum school in Abu Dhabi. The role involves supporting students with complex Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in collaboration with teachers and educational professionals. This is a full-time, on-site role ideal for candidates passionate about inclusive education and child development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support pupils with complex SEND including autism, emotional and mental health difficulties, and learning disabilities.

• Collaborate with teaching staff to plan and deliver accessible learning activities.

• Assist students in academic, emotional, and physical development, including helping with eating, hygiene, and mobility.

• Monitor and report pupil progress and behavior to teaching staff.

• Support the implementation of behavior plans, risk assessments, and learning programs.

• Provide classroom support including setting up resources, managing records, and supervising pupils during school activities and educational visits.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive learning environment.

• Deliver basic first aid and administer medication if required (per school policy).

• Support children’s development of independence, social skills, and personal growth.

• Attend staff briefings, parent meetings, and contribute to the broader school community.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum Qualifications: A-level, NVQ, or High School Certificate.

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in an inclusion or SEND support role.

• Skills & Attributes:
