WSP is seeking a UAE National with an interest in sustainability and the environment to join as a Consultant – Environment & Sustainability. This hybrid role supports environmental projects and impact assessments across the UAE, contributing to society-transforming initiatives. Open to Emirati applicants only (Emirati family book required).

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical input on Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs), and EMS documentation

• Assist in environmental and sustainability permitting during project design and construction phases

• Coordinate with internal teams and subconsultants on environmental surveys and monitoring

• Assess environmental performance and compliance on-site

• Support project proposals, write technical documentation, and assist in delivering quality environmental consultancy

• Liaise with stakeholders, international lenders, and contractors to ensure successful project delivery

• Promote and participate in personal and professional development opportunities within WSP

Job Requirements:

• Must possess a valid Emirati Family Book

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as:

  • Environmental/Process/Chemical/Industrial Engineering

  • Occupational Health

  • Geology, Geography, Biology, or Chemistry

  • Architecture, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

• Minimum 2 years post-graduate experience

• Prior consultancy experience or environmental work on large infrastructure projects is preferred

• Solid understanding of Middle East environmental legislation and compliance standards

• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)

• Comfortable performing site work and liaising directly with contractors

• Stakeholder and public engagement experience is an advantage

• Sustainability knowledge and experience in international assessments are beneficial
