Job Title: Polysomnographic Technologist
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Polysomnographic Technologist to join our team, where you will play a key role in patient education, data management, scoring and analysis, and ensuring high-quality sleep studies. This role requires a keen eye for detail, technical proficiency, and excellent communication skills to guide patients and collaborate with the medical team.
Key Responsibilities:

Patient Education & Setup: Instruct patients (either in-person or via telehealth) on the proper application and operation of portable sleep monitors, ensuring patient comfort and data integrity according to AASM standards.

Data Collection & Management: Retrieve, download, and organize overnight physiological data (EEG, EOG, EMG, airflow, oximetry) into our secure system for review and analysis.

Scoring & Analysis: Perform preliminary scoring of sleep stages and respiratory events according to AASM guidelines using specialized software, with manual review.

Report Preparation: Draft comprehensive study summaries, including AHI, ODI, and sleep efficiency, for review by the Medical Director for electronic sign-off.

Quality Assurance: Conduct equipment checks, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure adherence to calibration and infection-control protocols.

Patient Follow-Up: Provide basic post-test support, address patient queries, and coordinate device return logistics.
Skills & Qualifications:

Education: Diploma or degree in Polysomnography, Electro-Neurodiagnostic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, or related Allied Health field (AASM).

Licensure & Certification: Active DHA “Allied Health/Polysomnographic Technologist” license or eligibility; RPSGT, CPSGT, CRT-SDS, or equivalent certification preferred.

Clinical Skills: Proficiency with HSAT devices, polysomnography equipment, and sleep-scoring software.

Technical Aptitude: Strong computer skills, data-entry accuracy, and familiarity with electronic medical records.

Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills for patient education and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
