Info Resume Edge – GCC is hiring a Cisco Network Engineer to join their growing IT infrastructure team in Dubai. This role is perfect for skilled networking professionals who can design, implement, and manage secure and scalable network solutions using Cisco technologies.

As a Cisco Network Engineer, you will play a critical role in the maintenance and expansion of a robust network infrastructure, collaborating with other IT specialists to ensure the performance, reliability, and security of enterprise-level systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, VLAN, and VPN networks using Cisco hardware.

• Install and configure Cisco routers, switches, firewalls (ASA/Firepower), and wireless systems.

• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues to ensure optimal uptime and security.

• Collaborate with architects and IT teams to scale network systems effectively.

• Manage updates, patches, and configurations for Cisco equipment.

• Provide Tier 2/3 technical support and issue resolution.

• Document infrastructure layouts and configurations accurately.

• Ensure full compliance with internal security protocols and external regulations.

• Assist in disaster recovery strategies and testing.

• Conduct performance tuning and capacity forecasting.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.

• Proven experience in a Cisco-based enterprise networking role.

• Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE (preferred/required based on experience level).

• Solid knowledge of network protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, HSRP, VRRP.

• Proficiency with monitoring tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, or Cisco Prime.

• Experience with IP address management and network access control.

• Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

• Ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Cisco SD-WAN, DNA Center, or Meraki technologies.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP.

• Understanding of cybersecurity practices and threat mitigation tools.

• Scripting for automation (e.g., Python, Bash).
