KBR, Inc. is seeking a Department Manager (Pipelines) to join their engineering leadership team. This role is based in Abu Dhabi and focuses on overseeing various projects in the Middle East, including the UAE, Iraq, Kuwait, and Oman. The Department Manager will support the delivery of projects from concepts and FEED through to detailed design, with a strong focus on both onshore and offshore pipeline systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a multi-national team of engineers and designers in the delivery of pipeline systems

• Provide expert knowledge on subsea and pipeline engineering for projects

• Ensure pipeline designs comply with contractual, regulatory, and industry standards

• Oversee stress and hydraulic analyses to ensure pipeline integrity

• Drive engineering initiatives to optimize design, reduce costs, and improve constructability

• Collaborate with procurement, construction, and commissioning teams for smooth project execution

• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction at project level

• Review vendor documents, technical specifications, and material selections for compatibility with project requirements

• Manage project-related technical challenges, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering

• Chartered engineer (preferred)

• Minimum 15 years of experience in pipeline engineering, specifically within EPC project environments

• Proven track record in managing pipeline engineering for large-scale EPC projects

• Experience in both onshore and offshore pipeline engineering

• Proficiency in pipeline design and analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD, PDMS, Caesar II)

• Strong knowledge of ASME, API, ASCE, and other pipeline engineering codes and standards
