Hermès is seeking a Logistics and Trade Compliance Officer to ensure compliance with global trade regulations and manage logistics and product regulations. The position requires expertise in trade compliance, coordination with regulatory bodies, and the management of insurance claims. This role requires at least 5 years of experience in logistics and trade compliance within the Middle East.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor global trade regulations and ensure compliance with customs laws

• Oversee product regulations, product registration, testing, and data management

• Coordinate with regional regulatory authorities (customs, municipalities, ministries) for approvals

• Develop and maintain detailed SOPs for compliance activities

• Conduct regular risk assessments and mitigate compliance risks

• Manage insurance claims and liaise with stakeholders for resolution

• Conduct compliance training for staff in collaboration with the Supply Chain Manager

• Support logistics teams in preparing and verifying shipping documents

• Collaborate with legal, finance, commercial, and communication teams

• Assist logistics team in projects such as store openings, events, and exhibitions

Job Requirements:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in the Middle East

• Knowledge: In-depth understanding of logistics operations and customs regulations in the region

• Skills:

  • Excellent organizational skills and project management abilities

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Strong problem-solving and adaptability skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Languages: Fluency in English (Arabic proficiency is an advantage)
