Egis is seeking a detail-driven and experienced Civil Laboratory Technician to support quality control and material testing for our engineering projects in Dubai. The successful candidate will conduct on-site and laboratory tests on construction materials to ensure compliance with industry standards and contribute to the integrity of civil infrastructure projects.

🔸 Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate daily inspections and testing with site teams and third-party/DCL laboratories.

• Witness on-site material testing with consultants and third-party labs.

• Submit samples to DCL and authorized labs and follow up on test reports.

• Maintain detailed testing logs (FDT, concrete, asphalt, etc.) and prepare concrete pouring records.

• Ensure the laboratory complies with standard operating procedures and safety regulations.

• Assist QA/QC Engineers in daily inspections (MIR/NMR) on site.

• Liaise with subcontractors and testing labs to manage testing workflows efficiently.

🔸 Requirements:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field

• 2–3 years of experience in a construction materials testing laboratory

• Knowledge of civil engineering materials (e.g., concrete, asphalt, soils)

• Familiarity with ACI, ASTM, and DCL testing procedures and standards

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in recording measurements

• Proficiency with lab equipment and data reporting tools

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Physically fit to handle materials and equipment in lab and field environments

• Must be currently based in the UAE

AED 5,000 – 7,000/month (inclusive of allowances)
