A highly motivated and experienced Legal Specialist is needed to join a leading client in Abu Dhabi. This role involves providing legal support on information technology and software-related matters, including contract drafting, regulatory compliance, and managing legal risks in IT and software projects. The ideal candidate will have expertise in UAE law and The Information Technology Act of 2000 Legal Framework.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise on legal and regulatory matters related to AI/ML development and deployment

• Guide on data privacy and security compliance (e.g., GDPR, UAE Data Protection Law)

• Provide advice on intellectual property protection for software, algorithms, and AI/ML models

• Draft and review software licenses, development agreements, and data processing agreements

• Conduct legal research and analysis on emerging technologies and relevant legislation

• Stay updated on legal and regulatory developments in the AI/ML sector

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure legal and regulatory compliance

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law or Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

• 8+ years of experience in legal practice, particularly in technology law (preferred)

• Strong understanding of data privacy, intellectual property, and contract law

• Experience with AI/ML technologies and their legal implications (preferred)

• Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in-house at a technology company

• Knowledge of regulations in the UAE and key international jurisdictions

• Experience with international data transfers and cross-border legal issues
