DAMAC Properties is seeking a Senior Manager – Operational Audit to support the Head of Internal Audit in developing and executing a risk-based audit plan. The role involves measuring audit performance, overseeing audits, and preparing detailed audit reports. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in auditing, especially in real estate, construction, or infrastructure sectors, and a background in civil or mechanical engineering is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a risk-based audit plan covering all aspects of real estate projects and customer lifecycles.

• Measure performance against internal audit targets and objectives.

• Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and operational management.

• Oversee audits conducted by internal staff or co-sourced partners.

• Develop audit scope, work programs, and testing plans.

• Identify areas for audit automation and collaborate with the Director of IT Audits for system implementation.

• Prepare detailed audit reports and communicate findings to management.

• Assist in preparing clear communication of audit processes for senior management and the risk committee.

• Monitor internal audit staff performance and ensure achievement of goals and KPIs.

• Provide coaching and feedback to audit team members and support their development.

• Assist in the development and implementation of training programs for audit staff.

Job Requirements:

• Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Management Information Systems, or related field. Civil or mechanical engineering background is highly desirable.

• Certifications: CPA, CIA, or CISA preferred.

• Experience:

  • Minimum 13 years of experience in auditing, with experience in auditing capital projects in real estate, construction, or infrastructure sectors.

  • Understanding of real estate construction projects and customer lifecycles.

  • Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
