Job Description:
IAT Abu Dhabi Polytechnic is seeking an Instructor or Assistant Professor to join the Meteorology Department. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching undergraduate Meteorology courses, conducting research, and supporting the development of the department’s academic infrastructure. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong academic background and practical experience in Meteorology, Oceanography, and Atmospheric Sciences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach undergraduate Meteorology courses, ensuring a high standard of education.

• Conduct research activities and maintain the Meteorological and Oceanographic Lab Infrastructure.

• Develop and maintain programs and courses related to Meteorology and Oceanography.

• Participate in departmental and institutional-level committees.

• Contribute to national and international accreditation processes for the department.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Master of Science or PhD in Atmospheric Science, Oceanographic Science, or related fields (e.g., Earth Sciences).

• Professional/teaching skills in programming languages used in atmospheric and oceanographic data analysis (Python, MATLAB, Fortran, C++, GRAD, NCL).

• Expertise in numerical weather prediction programs/tools (WRF, NEMO, ECMWF).

• Skills in AI applications and machine learning related to Atmospheric and Oceanographic sciences.
