Ornua, Ireland’s largest exporter of dairy products, is seeking a Head of Ingredients to lead its Ingredients business across the Middle East and Africa. Based in Dubai, this high-impact role offers the opportunity to drive the strategic growth of Ornua’s ingredient categories, particularly Fat Filled Milk Powder (FFMP) and Cheddar. The successful candidate will have full P&L accountability and will be responsible for developing and executing a five-year growth plan, managing key relationships with members, and overseeing financial forecasting. This is a key leadership role within a growing, dynamic region for Ornua, with opportunities for career progression and global mobility.

Key Responsibilities:

• P&L Accountability: Oversee and manage the P&L for the Ingredients business in the Middle East, ensuring strategic execution and efficient volume movement.

• Strategic Growth: Develop and implement a five-year growth plan in collaboration with regional heads.

• Member Relations: Work with the member relations team to manage supply for key product categories, particularly FFMP.

• Forecasting: Provide accurate monthly forecasts and manage working capital impacts, including stock and debtors.

• Talent Development: Collaborate with HR to develop people, recognize talent, and build strong succession plans for key positions.

• Customer Expansion: Lead the expansion of a sustainable customer base across the region.

• Risk Management: Proactively manage and mitigate business risks in collaboration with the wider Ornua Ingredients team.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in managing a commodity portfolio, preferably in dairy and international markets.

• In-depth understanding of global dairy markets and factors impacting volatility.

• Strong numeracy skills and ability to interpret financial data.

• Proven ownership of business performance, with a history of making effective decisions and recognizing success.

• Excellent leadership skills, with a commitment to developing talent and fostering a high-performance culture.
