Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Civil Inspector to join our team for a new high-rise residential tower project in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in civil inspection, particularly on high-rise new build projects in the Emirates. This is a great opportunity for professionals who have worked with a recognized consultancy or PMC in the UAE. The role is for immediate joining on a 4-month fixed-term contract, working through J10 Consulting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspection Requests: Attend to and action Inspection Requests (IRs) submitted by contractors, ensuring timely and proper responses.

• Drawing & Specification Review: Review shop drawings against contract drawings, local codes, statutory requirements, and international best practices.

• Quality Monitoring: Report discrepancies between contractor works and approved drawings or specifications, ensuring stakeholders take appropriate action.

• Site Safety: Monitor the quality and safety of works on site, ensuring compliance with contractual, QCS specifications, and health and safety regulations.

• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of daily site activities, including progress photos, ensuring these are available for inspection.

• Deficiency Reporting: Prepare surveillance and non-conformance reports (NCR) to document any deficiencies in site work and to track development.

• Coordination: Ensure effective coordination between disciplines and provide technical input to resolve on-site issues promptly.

Candidate Profile:

• Education: Engineering degree or diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering.

• Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in construction supervision of high-rise building projects.

• Previous Work: Relevant experience working in a similar role within a recognized engineering consultancy or supervision consultant.

• Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely with project personnel and management.

• Technical Ability: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications; familiar with all construction-related processes.
