Dubai Municipality, through the Dubai Careers – A Smart Dubai Initiative, is seeking a qualified Safety Engineer to support occupational health, safety, and environmental (HSE) auditing, awareness, and emergency preparedness across organizational units. This full-time, on-site role is open exclusively to UAE Nationals, and requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.

The ideal candidate will play a critical role in conducting field inspections, implementing safety training programs, and ensuring compliance with emergency and crisis management protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide data and information for HSE audits conducted by internal teams

  • Conduct scheduled and surprise on-site HSE inspections of projects and facilities

  • Supervise the design and delivery of HSE awareness and training programs, institutional policies, and auditing procedures

  • Prepare and implement emergency and crisis simulation drills based on risk scenarios and service priorities

  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base on emergency and crisis management and produce regular business continuity reports

  • Assess organizational compliance with emergency and business continuity management systems

  • Receive and process customer complaints and incident reports related to safety; investigate root causes and recommend corrective actions

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (no prior work experience required)

  • Fields of Study: Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering

  • Nationality Requirement: UAE Nationals only
